Rieder Architektur now Rieder Bach Architektur:
New appearance with renown quality

Two years ago, Hannes Bach, a graduate architect FH, was introduced as Max Rieder’s partner at Rieder Architektur. Architektur. In the upcoming year, this proven cooperation will be pursued new look and a new name: Rieder Bach Architektur.

Max Rieder began his architectural work 32 years ago. Initially as Gösta Tiemer’s partner at the Cheseryplatz in Gstaad. From 2002 until 2019, he led and developed the office of the renowned architecture company Rieder Architektur. Since 2008 it is based at Bahnhofstrasse 5 in Saanen.

The partnership between the architects Max Rieder and Hannes Bach exists since two years. The two generations combine experience, tradition, and innovation. It is a continuous part of their work to further develop the region while maintaining the quality and the values of the Saanenland.

The company Rieder Bach Architektur has 22 experienced and qualified members of staff and trains its own specialists. It stands for local craftsmanship, tradition, innovation, and an individualized and customer-specific service. Rieder Bach Architektur is your general service provider. Office – Bahnhofstrasse 5

The chalet which housed the old post office was built in 1905, when the MOB (Montreux–Bernese Oberland) railway reached Saanen. Saanen. Previously, the post office had been located on the high street but was moved closer to the train station for practical purposes. In addition to the post office, the ground floor housed the municipal treasury of Saanen.

The upper flors consisted of two apartments rented all year round. When the municipal treasury moved out, notary Walter Müller set up his office on premises which was retained by his son Michel until 2007. 

 

In early 1970, when the post office moved into a new building across the road, the John F. Kennedy International School took over the ground floor. The apartments were still rented.
